For vegetarians, finding something decent to scran at lunchtime can prove an absolute nightmare. While everyone in the office is sat around chowing down on more delicious goods than you can shake a stick at, veggies are sat cuddling avocados at their desks.
However, the days of feeling left out are now long gone, as Quorn has just released its first range of wraps and sandwiches, and it’s enough to make anyone not want to touch meat again.
The brand revealed the exciting news on Instagram. Writing alongside a video of the new wraps and sarnies, Quorn said: “Drumroll please… We’ve been listening. Say hello to our NEW sandwiches and wraps‼️
“You can find the taste-tastic range NOW in selected universities. Coming soon to a McColls store near you.”
The products included in the range are as follows:
- Chicken Salad
- Chicken & Stuffing
- Ham Salad
- Ploughman’s Sandwiches
- Sweet Chilli and Caesar Wraps
The products will be priced at £3.29.
There is one downside, though, as the range isn’t suitable for vegans. Boo.
While nothing’s been confirmed as of yet, it seems likely that if the veggie range goes down well, the brand will release some vegan-friendly lunchtime treats in the not-so-distant future – fingers crossed, vegan friends!
Certain universities with McColl’s on campus are already stocking the wraps and sandwiches, so head down to your local to see if yours is on the list.
Failing that, a spokesperson for Quorn has confirmed that there will be a national roll-out later this autumn.
