Quorn is now doing meat-free wraps and sandwiches

Quorn has launched a new range of meat-free sandwiches and wraps.

The range includes four sandwiches and two wraps, containing a variety of Quorn fillings.

It will soon be available in cafes and delis with a focus on universities before being pushed out to shops and supermarkets.

The sandwich range contains Chicken & Stuffing, Chicken Salad, Ploughman’s and Ham Salad.

The wraps come in Sweet Chili and Caesar varieties. All products will have an RRP of £3.29.

The meat-free category is currently worth £308m, and Quorn has invested more than £12m in the past year to drive brand awareness.

After the success of its partnership with Greggs on its vegan sausage roll and a recent trial with KFC, moving into sandwiches was the logical next step for Quorn.

Sadly though, Quorn confirmed over Twitter that the new range of lunchtime staples aren’t suitable for vegans

If you’re keen to try them, the range is set to launch “soon” in selected universities that have a McColl’s store on campus, and then, according to a spokesperson from Quorn, will roll out to the masses later on.
