Notting Hill Carnival has been drawing in party-goers for a vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture for over 50 years.

The festival includes extravagant parades, steel bands, and calypso music, which attract people from across the globe every year.

Now that the festival is returning after a two year hiatus, archive pictures have been unearthed which show Europe’s biggest street party through the years.

Question: Which planet was recently captured in some new snaps by NASA’s James Webb space telescope?

Answer: Jupiter

The new pictures feature “two moons, rings, and distant galaxies”, and NASA says the images will help uncover clues to the inner life of Jupiter.

Planetary astronomer Imke de Pater, professor emerita of the University of California, Berkeley, told NASA: “We hadn’t really expected it to be this good, to be honest”.

Answer: 32.6%

London saw 32.6% of GCSE students with grades 7/A or above, in comparison to just 22.4% in north-east England and in Yorkshire and the Humber.

While every region across the country saw a fall in the proportion of pupils getting top grades, the divide between the highest and lowest-achieving areas has grown since before the pandemic.

Schools minister Will Quince has insisted that closing the attainment gap is a “huge priority” for the government.
