What a year it's been. It's so hard to believe that in a single year we've had huge political change with three different Prime Ministers, a new monarch and, for several months of the year, the continuation of some pandemic rules and restrictions. We also faced economic turmoil with rising prices amid the cost of living crisis and the subsequent closure of many of our favourite local and independent businesses.
But there were also huge highs in 2022 and much cause for celebration. We had big street parties with our friends and families for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and we all gathered around our TVs to watch the UK come second in Eurovision and Wales play in the World Cup – though unfortunately our excitement here was more short-lived than we'd hoped.
Ultimately it was a year of highs and lows like no other. So much happened that we thought we'd challenge ourselves to remember as much as we can – and then challenge our readers to do the same.
