The 2026 World Cup
All 48 participations are now known after a thrilling night of playoff action saw Italy condemned to a watching brief for a third straight tournament. Czechia, Sweden and Türkiye were the other European winners, and they were joined by Iraq and DR Congo, who overcame Bolivia and Jamaica to seal their spots at the World Cup.
