The new polymer £20 banknote has now been released.

But how well do we really know our money?

While the latest design was first unveiled last October, the updated £20 entered circulation on Thursday February 20.

Featuring a portrait of the Queen, it also pays tribute to English Romantic painter JMW Turner.

He became the face of the new banknote after being selected by Bank of England governor, Mark Carney, with 29,701 nominations from the general public.

Mr Carney described Turner as "perhaps the single most influential British artist of all time."

But do you know who else has been printed on British banknotes?
