Last week a blanket of thick coastal fog known as "haar" engulfed Edinburgh producing some pretty incredible images of the capital.
Some locals even shared pictures taken from Wardie Bay in Granton which showed the beach immersed in such thick fog that Fife was no longer across the water.
Thankfully now the fog has cleared, but it got us thinking if Edinburgh was permanently surrounded by a thick fog, would you still be able to recognise its iconic landmarks?
There is only one way to find out, we have created a quiz that shows what some of Edinburgh's most famous landmarks would look like if they were blurred by fog.
Looking at these images, you could be mistaken for thinking that you have forgotten to put your glasses on and yet some of the Edinburgh landmarks are so iconic that you don't need incredible visibility to recognise them.
