A property which has been transformed from a small cottage into a stunning family home with a quirky colour scheme has gone on the market.
The house on Southport Road in Lydiate, a short drive from Maghull, has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and is on the market for £300,000. It has been tastefully revamped both inside and out and even has its own annexe with a bedroom and bathroom.

The house opens up into a generous kitchen, living and dining area with a spiral staircase leading to the first floor.
It's here the current owners have put their stamp on the place, with a glossy cream kitchen offset by a bright teal panelled wall in the lounge and multi-coloured stools at the breakfast bar. There's also a modern fireplace and lighting, as well as a floor to ceiling radiator.
To the left of the huge living space, and hidden behind oak double doors, is a cosy lounge with neutral décor and a statement fireplace. There's also a utility room and a shower room on the ground floor.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one of which has a Juliet balcony with a glass balustrade. The luxury family bathroom features a standalone tub and a walk-in shower area.

An annexe accessed through the utility room to the rear of the kitchen houses the third bedroom, which boasts floor to ceiling windows.
Equal attention has been paid to the outside area of the home. To the front is a gravel driveway and eye-catching cedarwood cladding, with well manicured gardens to the rear.
A large patio is accessed from the kitchen and joins a generous, elevated lawn and another patio at the back of the garden, which would be perfect for a barbecue. The owners have even added a splash of colour to the external walls with multicoloured pallets.
The house is on the market with estate agents North Wall, who called it "outstanding".

Properties in Lydiate sold for an overall average of £219,971 over the last year, according to Rightmove. The figure is a 9% fall on the previous 12 months but 6% higher than the 2018 peak of £207,641.
