Quinton Dunbar ranks among NFL’s best in passer rating so far

While it gets lost in the shuffle a bit, nobody can take an elite season from Washington Redskins cornerback Quinton Dunbar.

Pro Football Focus, at least, hasn’t let it go unnoticed. As seen in the graphic above, Dunbar ranks among the NFL’s very best in terms of passer rating allowed, checking in at 52.6. Keep in mind this comes on a minimum of 25 targets.

Any time a corner makes a list with Richard Sherman and Stephon Gilmore it’s probably good news.

And this is especially the case with Dunbar, who has matched his season total of games (seven) from last year while putting up more than 40 tackles with three interceptions and five passes defensed, not to mention the above passer rating.

Given Dunbar draws some tough assignments and his defense isn’t getting any help from the Redskins offense, it makes his strong season to date all the more impressive.
