Quiet Place II trailer: Fans' excitement as Cillian Murphy joins Emily Blunt in highly-anticipated sequel

The trailer for A Quiet Place: Part II has dropped and fans are buzzing over the new cast in the highly-anticipated sequel.

The Irish actor Cillian Murphy joins Emily Blunt who is seen on the run with her children during the terrifying glimpse into the film.

Murphy's name began trending on Twitter within an hour of the trailer's release as fans shared their excitement for the upcoming sequel.

The film is a follow-up to the 2018 thriller about a family trying to survive with their children in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by monsters with acute hearing.

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence.

Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realise that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

The new trailer also gives fans a peek at Djimon Hounsou, who also joins the cast.

A Quiet Place: Part II was written and directed by Blunt's husband John Krasinski, who was in the first film, and will be released on March 20.
