Quick hits with Brooks Koepka: ‘I could play St. Andrews every day for the rest of my life’

Brooks Koepka held the No. 1 spot in the Official World Golf Ranking for 38 weeks, a run that started when he won the 2019 PGA Championship and ended in February when Rory McIlory reclaimed the top spot.

Koepka is now No. 3, having also been passed by Jon Rahm.

But Koepka is still one of the most complete players in the game.

He has four major championships in his trophy case and seven wins in all on the PGA Tour. He has seven other international wins.

This season he’s not shown his regular form, posting a WD, two missed cuts and finishes of T-43 and T-47, but he will no doubt be among the favorites whenever golf starts staging major championships again.

It’s no surprise he says his favorite club in the bag is the driver. He also says if he wasn’t a pro golfer he’d still be a professional athlete, he’d just be swinging a different kind of stick at a different sized ball. And he says his favorite course is an easy choice, one that he could play every day.
