Queues down city centre street as crowds gather for free Nando's food

Nando's fans are lining the streets of Liverpool today as they wait for free food from the restaurant's pop-up truck.

The truck is at Castle Street today, close to where the former NatWest bank was based, with huge queues going right back to ROX bar.

The Nando's team will be serving free portions of chips and bottomless Peri-Peri Gravy which came back on its menu earlier this month.

Due to overwhelming demand following its launch in 2018 - Nando’s has been on a mission to find out which UK city is the biggest fan of its PERi-PERi gravy.

The festive food item is priced at £1.25 when ordered from any Nando's restaurant, and available for a limited time only and while stocks last.

The truck was delayed opening 20 minutes after its promised 12pm time but that didn't stop fans queuing from around 11.30am. It will be 8pm serving up food.

Each person will be served a portion of chips with as much gravy as they like - and the queue doesn't look to be getting any shorter as today.
