Quenton Nelson hasn’t allowed a sack in 30 games

The Indianapolis Colts knew they were getting a stud when they selected guard Quenton Nelson in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, but even he may be exceeding expectations.

The Notre Dame product has made a flawless transition to the NFL both from a leadership standpoint and a production standpoint. The latter is especially true when it comes to his pass protection.

According to Pro Football Focus, Nelson hasn’t allowed a sack in 30 consecutive games, which is the longest active streak among guards in the NFL.

Nelson has been one of the biggest reasons why the Colts offensive line has been able to make this incredible turnaround. It started in 2018 and while there are many factors that have led to the unit’s success, Nelson’s mauler attitude and near-perfect play are among the biggest reasons.

The Colts will be blessed with continuity again in 2020 and Nelson will be looking to keep that streak going for another full season.
