Queensland police seek extradition of murder case suspect in Serbia

Queensland police are in the process of trying to extradite a man in Serbia who is a suspect in a Brisbane murder case.

In April 2012, Jei 'Jack' Lee was found shot in Warrigal Square Shopping Centre car park at Eight Mile Plains, on Brisbane's south side.

Mr Lee died several hours later in hospital.

At the time, police were investigating if the murder was linked to a drug deal gone wrong.

Detectives started looking for a silver BMW seen leaving the car park the night Mr Lee was shot, which was later located at River Hills.

Within days, police identified several suspects, one of those being Bogdan Cuic, an alleged member of the West End Bandidos chapter.

But Mr Cuic fled overseas just hours before police went to speak with him.

He eventually made it to Serbia after stopping off in Asia.

Authorities have been collecting evidence on Mr Cuic for the last three years and are now seeking his extradition.

The Serbian ministry of the interior confirmed to SBS News that they had arrested Bogdan Cuic and he was subject of an international arrest warrant in relation to the murder.
