A man has admitted killing a 61-year-old whose decomposed body was found days later in a wheelie bin.
Adam John Charles Evans, 33, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the Brisbane Supreme Court on Thursday just days before he and another man were to face trial charged with murder.
His co-accused Robert Louis Gibson, 41, pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the manslaughter.
The charges relate to Kym Mitchell who died on November 26, 2018 in Yeronga, in suburban Brisbane.
Mr Mitchell's body was found six days later, wrapped in black garbage bags inside a rubbish bin at a unit complex after residents complained to police about a terrible smell.
Gibson also pleaded guilty to one count of robbery in company and four counts of rape.
The robbery was committed on the same day Mr Mitchell was killed, but the victim was a woman.
The rape charges relate to offences committed four days after Mr Mitchell's death in the Brisbane suburb of Runcorn.
Evans did not plead to charges of interfering with a corpse relating to the disposing of Mr Mitchell's body, robbery in company and rape.
The trial, due to start on Monday, has been delisted, with the matter expected to be mentioned in the same court on December 3.
Jamie Lee Tarraran was previously charged with being an accessory after Mr Mitchell's death but that charge was dropped earlier this year.
