The Liberal National party (LNP) has increased its statewide primary vote, widening its lead over the Labor party in the lead-up to the election by five percentage points.
The LNP is sitting on 42% of the primary vote while Labor has dropped two percentage points to 36.7% according to the latest Channel 7 ReachTEL poll.
The poll, taken on Tuesday night, shows the LNP strengthening its lead with just 10 days left of the campaign.
The Palmer United party dropped in support by one percentage point to 5% while the Greens remained steady on 8% of the primary vote. The margin of error is 2.4% either way.
The poll also asked who would make the better premier out of the current premier, Campbell Newman, the deputy premier, Jeff Seeney, ministers John-Paul Langbroek, Tim Nicholls, Lawrence Springborg and the speaker, Fiona Simpson, with 21.1% supporting Simpson.
Of respondents, 38.5% thought Newman made the better premier, a drop from 39.6% two weeks ago, with Springborg, the health minister, coming in third on 12.3%.
The poll showed 60.1% of people believe the LNP will win government while 39.9% of people think Labor will.
