Queens Park Rangers' classy message for Darnell Furlong as defender joins West Bromwich Albion

Darnell Furlong's time at Queens Park Rangers is over after the full-back left the club to join West Bromwich Albion.

The 23-year-old right-back has left QPR after ten years at the club, having come through the club's academy before making his first team debut in February 2015, when the R's were in the Premier League.

During his time at the club, the son of former QPR striker Paul Furlong featured 72 times in all competitions, while he also had spells on loan at Northampton Town, Cambridge United and Swindon Town.

But he has now signed a four-year deal with the Baggies, joining Slaven Bilic's side for an undisclosed fee.

In a statement, QPR said: "Everyone at the club would like to thank Darnell for his contribution and outstanding professionalism throughout his time with us and wish him every success in the future."

And the R's have posted a classy message to the 23-year-old on social networking website Twitter.

In a post confirming his departure, the club wrote: "There's only two Furlongs. You did #QPR (and your old man) proud, @DarnellFurlong!

The post also includes some photos from Furlong's time at QPR, while some R's fans have taken to social media to wish the defender all the best after his move.

Here's what some of them have been saying on Twitter.
