Queen Street housing left without power after electrical junction box goes up in flames

A number of housing blocks on a north inner city street have been left without power following a fire.

An electrical junction box off Queen Street went up in flames today, leaving the four housing blocks without electricity.

There were also heavy traffic delays in the area as the road was blocked off in an effort to fight the flames.

Dublin Fire Brigade responded to the scene, with firefighters from the Phibsborough station working quickly to quench the flames.
