
Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's overall condition has improved after she received treatment for influenza at Chulalongkorn Hospital, according to an official update Tuesday.
Her Majesty was admitted to the hospital on Sunday after being diagnosed with influen za, the Royal Household Bureau announced earlier.
Her doctors said the Queen's symptoms included a fever and a cough.
After receiving medication, Her Majesty's condition was said to have improved significantly although a team of royal physicians recommended that the Queen remain at the hospital while she recuperates.
The nation celebrated the Queen's 86th birthday on Aug 12, which also marked Mother's Day.
