Queen's University have lodged a protest following their Match Intermediate Cup semi-final defeat to Portstewart.
The holders were knocked out of the competition last week courtesy of Karl Steele's second half free-kick for Portstewart at Dixon Park.
The Irish FA confirmed on Wednesday that the Intermediate Cup Committee had received a complaint from Queen’s regarding last week's semi-final.
It is understood the complaint alleges that an ineligible player featured in the game.

The hearing is expected to take place on Thursday night at The National Football Stadium at Windsor Park.
The IFA said: "The association can confirm it has received a protest from Queen’s University in accordance with the rules of the competition and the matter is currently being investigated by the Irish FA Intermediate Cup Committee."
