The Queen paid a touching tribute to her late husband Prince Philip as she addressed world leaders in a pre-recorded video at a Cop26 reception.
In her speech she said there 'is always room for hope' despite huge challenges of the climate emergency.
The monarch called on world leaders to recognise “that the time for words has now moved to the time for action”.
She was speaking via a video message at a reception for heads of nations and governments at the COP26 climate change summit in Glasgow.
She wore a bright green dress and sported a brooch below her left shoulder - a diamond and ruby butterfly which was gifted to her upon her engagement to Prince Philip.
Over her shoulder was a beloved photo of the Duke of Edinburgh surrounded by butterflies during a 1988 visit to Mexico.

The heirloom was a gift from the Dowager Countess of Onslow at her wedding to the late Prince and is rarely worn by the royal.
She was also sat in front of a photograph from her private collection of the Duke of Edinburgh, taken in Mexico in 1988.
Speaking to the Express about the jewellery worn by the monarch Tobias Kormind of 77 Diamonds said: "The Queen chose to wear the stunning Onslow Butterfly Brooch and a classic 3 string pearl necklace with matching earrings to the COP26 summit.
"The brooch was a wedding gift presented in 1947 by Dowager Countess of Onslow to Princess Elizabeth.
"It's a lovely combination of Rubies and Diamonds. Given the purpose of the summit, the brooch and pearls are purposely understated, and perhaps the brooch is also a nod to Prince Philip's longstanding commitment to the environment."

The Queen gave a recorded message after she was forced to pull out of the event as she continues to recover from an overnight stay in hospital a fortnight ago.
She also used her address to pay tribute to her late husband Prince Philip and his decades-long efforts on raising the profile of climate change, quoting from a speech he gave in 1969.
The Queen added: "In the coming days, the world has the chance to join in the shared objective of creating a safer, stabler future for our people and for the planet on which we depend.
"None of us underestimates the challenges ahead: but history has shown that when nations come together in common cause, there is always room for hope.
"Working side by side, we have the ability to solve the most insurmountable problems and to triumph over the greatest of adversities.
"It has sometimes been observed that what leaders do for their people today is government and politics. But what they do for the people of tomorrow — that is statesmanship."
