A Liverpool school were thrilled to receive a letter from the Queen last week, just days before she died.
Netherton Moss Primary School, Bootle, received a letter thanking the pupils at the school for their kind letter which congratulated The Queen on her Platinum Jubilee.
The school's Year Four teacher, Abbie Hegerty, set up a writing project after the children said no one would care about them writing a letter and didn't see the point.

The 24-year-old teacher helped organise a school-wide project to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The Year Six class set up a project following the end of their SATS exams to write to The Queen and congratulate her.
Abbie encouraged the students to put work hard on sending the best letter they could which included finding good quality paper to send their kind words on.
Abbie told the ECHO : "The children put in so much hard work to send that letter. They thought no one cared about what they wrote and didn't see the point. We sent the letter off and we all forgot about it until we came to school and there was a special surprise for us in the mail.
"Year Six wrote the letter and the children have been visiting after school to see the reply. The children didn't think anyone would care about their letter, it completely changed their attitudes. It means a lot to these children because they put in so much hard work. They were made up when they found out."
The letter from the Queen said: "The Queen wishes me to write and thank you for the letter which you sent to Her Majesty on the occasion of her Platinum Jubilee.
"The Queen was glad to hear from you and, although unable to reply to you personally, Her Majesty greatly appreciated the nice things you said.
"Please accept my apologises for the delay in response however, as I am sure you will understand, The Queen has received a large volume of post in recent months and, as a result, it has not been possible to reply to you until now.
"I am to thank you again for your messages of good wishes to Her Majesty in this, her Platinum Jubilee year."
The school spent a lot of time organising a huge party to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. Children from every year group helped design decorations and invitations for their school-wide garden ball. All the children dressed up as royalty and joined the country in celebrating The Queen's life service to the country.
The primary school was delighted to receive the response but it now holds a special place in their hearts following The Queen's death as it gave the children a direct link to the historic event.
On Twitter Netherton Moss Primary School said: "Since the sad death of HM Queen Elizabeth II, we have learned that we were lucky enough to be the recipients of one of her Majesty's final pieces of correspondence. This makes our letter and card, all the more special and gives the children a direct link to this historic event."
