'Queen's relentless schedule has put rest of family to shame - she needs a rest'

The Queen’s hectic schedule of late has in all honesty put the rest of her family, especially those less than half her age, to absolute shame.

Relentless doesn’t even cover it.

A series of in-person engagements, hundreds of miles of travel (nearly 1,000 in fact), major speeches and dozens of meetings ahead of her record breaking Platinum Jubilee next year and this all way before the end of the month.

In short, the Queen needs a rest, which will surely be much to her doctors’ and her family’s delight.

Her mantra has always been “one must be seen to be believed” and it seems as though she is intent on making up for lost time.

It’s easy to forget the monarch is 95 and the whole country and indeed the world will no doubt be wishing nothing too frightening comes from the preliminary investigations carried out during her enforced hospital stay last week.

Having been forced into months of isolation due to the pandemic and the heartbreak of losing her beloved husband will be pulling her in all directions.

But perhaps, just for a while, staying still and putting her feet up will be exactly what the doctor ordered.
