Willie Muir capped a special night in his career when Queen’s Park won League Two.
The Spiders clinched the title with a 0-0 draw against Elgin City last week and it was Muir’s 200th competitive appearance for the club.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper produced a man of the match display to cap a brilliant night, as Ray McKinnon’s Spiders secured promotion to League One with plenty to spare.
The Carluke man said: “It doesn’t get any better. It was a tough match but to get a clean sheet and man of the match while winning the league on your 200th appearance, it doesn’t get much better.
“When I first signed, I never thought that I’d get to that but hopefully I’ve given something back to the club.
"It feels great to get it over the line. It’s been a stop-start season with Covid but it’s great to finally win the league.

“Our objective at the start of the season was to win the league or be promoted and we’ve done that which is good for the club.
“We deserved it. Even when we had to shut down, we still worked hard everyday and you get the rewards for the work you do.”
On Friday, Queens lost their first game as champions, going down 1-0 to Stranraer. The Spiders travel to face Stirling Albion tonight in a top of the table clash in League Two.
