Police have confirmed to Glasgow Live that the heavy police presence in and around the Queen's Park area in the South Side last night was in relation to a missing person.
A police helicopter circled the Govanhill, Shawlands and Strathbungo area from 9pm, with officers searching the park on foot and cars at most entrances.
The search continued past 10pm.
Police confirmed the missing person was later found 'safe and well'.
