It's difficult to imagine what a typical day at home looks like for the Queen, but while you might assume it's all champagne and tiaras, it turns out that behind closed doors, royal life is actually pretty normal.
Sitting down to watch television, enjoying the occasional cheeky Big Mac from McDonald's and doing household chores are all things we have in common with various members of the royal family, and it turns out the Queen herself is no different.
Although it's unlikely the Queen binge watches Netflix while ordering Uber Eats to Buckingham Palace, it turns out Her Majesty does like to get her hands dirty at home - and even does her own washing up.

Royal expert and author Harry Mount has revealed how a former royal courtier once told him they'd seen the Queen sporting her own yellow Marigolds, ready to chip in with the post-meal clean up.
"I was once at a shooting lunch. At the end of lunch, I heard someone say, 'I’ll do the washing-up'. I turned around and there was the Queen in her yellow washing-up gloves," he told the Telegraph.
The incident actually took place at the Queen and Prince Philip's much-loved Wood Cottage, on the Sandringham Estate, which was previously dubbed "home" by the late Duke of Edinburgh.
The five-bedroom coastal Norfolk home is said to be "modest by royal standards" and has been owned by the Queen throughout her 70 years on the throne.
Wood Cottage mostly served as a holiday home for the family, until Prince Philip retired and made it his permanent home in 2017. He lived there until the start of the pandemic, when he returned to Windsor Castle.
