The Queen's goddaughter has revealed new details about the monarch in a one-off documentary, including her curtsy ritual.
And Victoria Pryor, the Queen Mother’s great-niece, revealed the Queen would have loved to have had a simpler life.
She said: "I mean the Queen would've loved just to have been a country lady with her animals."
In ITV's documentary The Queen and Her Cousins with Alexander Armstrong, marking The Queen’s 95th birthday, some of Her Majesty's family share details about their most famous relative, the Mirror reports.
Sharing private letters, personal photos and rare memorabilia, guests on the show recounted treasured memories for the first time and Alexander learns more about royal life in modern Britain.
He goes on to visit Victoria Pryor, who is the The Queen’s goddaughter, among others.
She revealed how the monarch would have loved to have just been a 'country woman' and gifted her Twister and Winnie the Pooh books as a child.
Describing the Queen, Victoria said: "She's incredible, the way she looks after everybody.
"We’re all just perfectly ordinary people. The Queen Mother and my granny were very close and the Queen Mother was unbelievably fond of mummy and her siblings.
"Mummy called her [the Queen] Lilibet but we call her Ma'am. If she's staying then the first thing in the morning you curtsy, and then you don’t have to curtsy after that. That's the etiquette."
The one-off documentary was made to mark the Queen's 95th birthday and follows Alexander as he meets with some of Her Majesty's extended family who share hidden details about the monarch.
The production aired on ITV 1 on Monday night at 9pm.
