Queen Elizabeth's favourite song has been revealed, and it should come as no surprise to anyone.
The monarch's jukebox choice, according to reports, is Abba's 1976 europop classic Dancing Queen.
The unexpected detail was made public by BBC DJ Chris Evans as he told an anecdote from a party held at Windsor Castle.
Mr Evans, whose £2.2m BBC salary was revealed earlier this week, recounted a story told by one of the hundreds of guests invited to a dinner held at the palace.
He said after the meal, music and a disco had commenced, guests noticed that the Queen remained in the room.
One person was quoted as saying: “Ooh look, she's going to have a dance."
Dancing Queen started playing, according to reports, and another guest said: “My goodness me, there is the dancing Queen."
Her thoughts on the band Queen are still unknown, however.
Few details about the Queen’s private life are known, but former royal chef John Higgins revealed the palette of the UK’s longest-reigning monarch did not include garlic.
Pasta and potatoes also do not make the cut, with the Queen said to stick to a strict no carbs after breakfast rule, which she only broke for royal banquets.
Chocolate biscuit cake and a chocolate mousse are apparently high on the Queen’s list of favourite sweet snacks, as is fresh fruit.
And in a long held tradition, the Queen enjoys a glass of gin before lunch, often with Dubonnet.
