Queen of the South have signed midfielder Paul McKay following his exit from Airdrie.
The 24-year-old, who came through Doncaster Rovers' youth academy and played 40 times for Airdrie, signed for the Championship club this afternoon.
McKay comes from a footballing family; twin brother Jack plays for Chesterfield, but was on loan at Airdrie last season, while his older brother Mark and father Willie are agents in the game.
Queen of the South boss Allan Johnston told the club's website: "Paul was one of Airdrie's top players last season as they pushed for a place in the Championship, so we are delighted to have him on board.
"Although predominantly a centre-back, he can also play in midfield, which gives us other options.
"At 24 he is a good age, and I'm looking forward to working with him."
