Aelin is now back in Rifthold and she now has to become Celaena again. However this time she is her own Queen and rules under no one. It’s time for her to get what she wants and to destroy those who are doing wrong.
What I loved about this book so much was how the plot was laid out and how intricate every detail was. It made the whole reading experience much more worth it. The characters in this book grew a lot more and I feel like Dorian, Celaena and Chaol aren’t the trio that they were in the first few books but are now all grown up and have drastically changed. Although this does make me sad, it’s a bit reassuring that Maas is broadening their horizons and making this fictional world a whole lot bigger.
However, the whole series is so good and worth reading because every book is like a key that opens another element to this world that will captivate you. Believe or not, read to find out.
On the other hand, I didn’t like Manon’s point of view because I didn’t understand why it needed to be in the book, though I have a feeling that it will play a big part in the next book in this epic series. The reason why I didn’t like it was the fact that it was boring and didn’t click with me, nor could I relate to any of the characters in this point of view.
Overall I loved this book – one of the reasons is because I was able to relive the world the book is set in and read about the wondrous characters. I encourage you to read this book and the series if you’re thinking about doing so! I can’t wait until the next book and almost regret reading the whole series this year because I have to wait another whole year until the 5th book comes out!
