Queen of Clean's simple ice lolly trick means no more sticky fingers after eating

It's the time of year when kids (and adults!) love nothing more than a cool, refreshing ice-lolly to cool down in the sunshine.

But with ice-lollies comes mess and sticky fingers which can be annoying especially if you're out and about for the day and forgot to pack the wet wipes.

Fear not though, the answer to your prayers is here thanks to author and presenter Lysney aka Queen of Clean who shared a genius tip during a segment on This Morning on Monday.

Lynsey explained how slotting a marshmallow onto the bottom of your ice-lolly stick not only will prevent the drips getting to your fingers, it also becomes a tasty extra treat when your lolly is finished.

The Queen of Clean also shared some more of her favourite cleaning and stain removal hacks on the ITV daytime show.

She warned viewers that there are certain stains which shouldn't be treated with hot water.

She said: "We do that instant thing of, 'Oh gosh, I have to take it off, get it into a hot wash', and there are so many stains that you should not treat with hot water.

"Food stains, wine stains, chocolate stains, milk based stains should all be treated with cold water. So take it off, turn it inside out and just flush it under the cold tap so let the tap push the stain out or soak it in a bucket of ice water overnight and that will work really well."
