Queen Margaret University students told to self-isolate in halls after positive COVID case

A student living in halls at an Edinburgh University has tested positive for COVID-19.

A number of students from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh, who live at the campus in Musselburgh, have now been told to self-isolate, reports EEN.

The university wrote an email to students making them aware of the situation and told them that those who may have come into close contact with the positive case will be informed.

If students are contacted by the university, they are being advised to attend classes as normal for now.

According to the email, the university is working "closely with NHS Lothian Health Protection Team and following all national guidance."
