The Queen has made a "generous" donation to support the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
In a tweet, DEC wrote: "Many thanks to Her Majesty The Queen for continuing to support the Disasters Emergency Committee and for making a generous donation to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. @RoyalFamily #UkraineAppeal".
Her donation comes after her son Prince Charles described Russia's invasion of Ukraine as "brutal aggression" earlier this week.
The Prince of Wales, who once likened Russian President Putin to Nazi leader Hitler, became the first senior royal to speak out in support of Ukraine today when he called for “solidarity.”

Speaking at the ceremony to mark Southend becoming a city today, the Prince paid tribute to murdered local MP Sir David Amess. saying: “What we saw in the terrible tragedy in Southend was an attack on democracy on open society, on freedom itself.
“We are seeing those same values under attack today in Ukraine in the most unconscionable way.
“In the stand we take here, we are in solidarity with all those who are resisting brutal aggression."
Charles was in Southend, as the Essex seaside town that was made a city by the Queen, after the two-decade campaign by the late Southend West MP, who was stabbed and killed last October.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have also tweeted their support for the Ukrainian people.

And Prince Harry acknowledged the people of Ukraine last Saturday night, as he and Meghan Markle collected a prestigious award.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were special guests at the NAACP Awards, where the couple were honoured with the prestigious President's Awards to mark their special achievement for 'distinguished public service'.
Following on from Meghan's start to the couple's speech, Harry said: "Before I begin, we would like to acknowledge the people of Ukraine, who urgently need our continued support as a global community."
