Queen attends church service as world waits for Meghan Markle's royal baby

The Queen looked lovely in a bright pink outfit as she attended a Sunday church service ahead of the birth of her new great-grandchild.

The monarch was seen being driven from Windsor Castle to The Royal Chapel of All Saints this morning ahead of the traditional service.

She was wearing a bright pink coat and matching embellishment hat for the occassion.

It's an exciting time for the Royal Family as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry prepare to welcome their first child.

Baby Sussex, who will be seventh in line to the throne, will be the Queen's and Prince Philip's eighth great-grandchild.

Last week many fans thought she might have accidentally given the baby's gender away after they spotted a pink blanket on the back seat of her car.

Driver Tamoor Ali, who saw and filmed the escort, was originally convinced the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have welcomed a baby girl and that the motorcade was the couple on their way home from hospital.

However the Palace said this wasn't correct, and that the car was actually taking the Queen to present a service of the Royal Victorian Order at St George's Chapel in front of 1,200 people.

Tamoor told the Sun: "Then we saw a vehicle that had pink paraphernalia at the back of the windscreen go past - it was going very slowly over speed bumps."

Some people believe that the pink items might be a sign she's having a little girl - even if she hasn't arrived yet.

Meghan is now believed to be a week overdue.

A pal told ET that "Meg looks absolutely radiant" and said she's "looking forward to the birth".

They also said that Harry is a bit nervous about becoming a dad for the first time, even though all his official work over the past few years suggests he'll be a natural.
