Queen announce two new Glasgow dates at the Hydro for 2022

Queen have added two new Glasgow dates after they had to postpone their UK and European tour for a second time.

Brian May and Roger Taylor, plus singer Adam Lambert, spoke of their “heartbreak” at having to reschedule their Rhapsody World Tour including their 10-night residency at the O2 London which had been due to take place in June 2021.

With the on-going Covid pandemic the legendary band have decided to move all their dates this year to 2022 in the hope live shows will have returned.

But this means they’ve added two new shows at The SSE Hydro, Glasgow on June 2 and 3.

In a statement Queen + Adam Lambert said: “The prospect of again not being able to look forward to performing and getting to experience those wonderful audiences is just heartbreaking.”

They added: “None of the shows from 2020 and 2021 have been cancelled, just re-arranged due to COVID-19. We really do hope that as many people as possible who were booked for those original dates in 2020 will still be able to join us for the shows.”

The Glasgow dates will mark the first time the group have played Scotland since headlining TRNSMT in 2018.

Drummer Roger said: “When we do eventually get to play in front of live audiences it will be with a ferociously renewed attack and we shall revel in the wonderful experience of actually interacting with them again.”
