The Queen and Prince Philip were among the small number of royals to attend the wedding of Princess Beatrice yesterday, according to reports.
The Queen, 94, and Duke of Edinburgh, 99, joined Prince Andrew, 60, at the scaled down wedding with around 15 guests.
Princess Beatrice married property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in Windsor yesterday morning, and was walked down the aisle by the Duke of York.
According to reports, only members of the family's "inner circle" were told about the micro-wedding and were sworn to secrecy before the event.
With such limited numbers allowed at the ceremony, senior royals like Prince Charles and Camilla, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, missed Beatrice's big day.
Insiders claim no other royals were invited "because if you invite one, questions will be asked as to why you didn’t invite the others and there are just too many of them".
Guests, who were socially distanced in the church, included Beatrice's parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Edo's son 'Wolfie' and his mother Nikki Williams-Ellis and stepfather David.
Also in attendance were Beatrice's sister Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, as well as Edo's half-brother, Alby Shale, according to the Daily Mail.
The couple have yet to release a photograph of the nuptials as they didn't want to overshadow Captain Tom Moore's knighthood.
The Queen was among the first of the guests to leave the ceremony at 11.45am to carry out a special knighthood of the war veteran who raised millions for the NHS during the Covid-19 outbreak.
She stood out in a matching aqua coat and hat with faux pink and red roses.
She knighted Captain Tom at Windsor Castle for raising more than £32million and raising the country's spirits during lockdown.
As she presented her knighthood, the Queen boasted that her granddaughter married that morning.
She said: "My granddaughter got married this morning both Philip and I managed to get there - very nice."
