Quarterback Max Duggan shines as TCU upsets No. 9 Texas, 33-31

AUSTIN, Texas _ Max Duggan had a 26-yard TD run with just over four minutes left, the defense produced a turnover at the goal-line and TCU continued its success against Texas since joining the Big 12.

The Horned Frogs prevailed for a 33-31 victory over the No. 9 Longhorns on Saturday afternoon at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

Duggan finished the game with 79 yards rushing on 17 carries with two TDs. He was 20-of-30 passing for 231 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions.

The Horned Frogs combined for 226 yards rushing on 60 carries.

Texas, meanwhile, finished with 152 yards rushing on 24 carries. Longhorns QB Sam Ehlinger was 17 of 36 passing with four TDs and one interception.

An unranked TCU team last defeated a top-10 team on the road in 2011 at Boise State.
