Quarantine if returning from Czech Republic and Jamaica to Scotland for 14 days

Travellers returning to Scotland from Jamaica and the Czech Republic must quarantine for 14 days from this weekend.

Prague has been a European holiday destination for UK citizens not affected by quarantine on return.

Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Justice Humza Yousaf tweeted tonight to confirm that Jamaica and Czech Republic will be removed from Countries exempt from quarantine and Cuba will be added to the list of exempt countries.

Changes come into effect at 4am Saturday, August 29.

UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps announced a similar change for travellers returning to England.

But he also added Switzerland to the UK quarantine list.

The new rules come into play following rise in coronavirus infections in the countries.
