Qualtrics, which provides clients software that analyzes customer attitudes, said Wednesday it will open a 200-employee office in downtown Chicago.

The company said it will occupy more than 25,000 square feet in the 37-story building at 191 N. Wacker Drive. The office, the 25th global site for Qualtrics, will open in the spring of 2020.

Qualtrics maintains headquarters in Seattle and Provo, Utah. It said it intends to increase its worldwide headcount to 8,000 by 2023 from the current 3,000. It is expanding in Seattle, where it plans next year to occupy 275,000 square feet in a tower bearing the company’s name.

The Chicago office will serve as a Midwest hub and will host such functions as client services, sales and other areas, the company said.

Qualtrics was founded in 2002 and in January 2019 was sold to SAP for $8 billion in what was reported to be the largest private enterprise software acquisition.

Colliers International represented Qualtrics in its Chicago lease negotiations, the company said.
