Quad bike driver taken to hospital with serious injuries following smash with car in Oldham

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after his quad bike crashed with a car in Oldham.

Emergency services were called to the smash at the junction with Middleton Road and Neville Street, in Chadderton, at around 3.15pm on Monday (June 22).

It is understood the quad bike crashed with a car as it was turning out of a side street.

The driver of the quad bike was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police have said his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation.

A GMP spokesman said: "Police were informed at 3.14pm of a road traffic collision at the junction of Middleton Road and Neville Street in Oldham. 

"Upon attendance it was discovered that a quad bike had collided with a motor vehicle that had been turning out of a side street.

"The male driver of the quad bike has been taken to hospital with a number of serious injuries – not life threatening. Investigations continue."
