QPR trying to avert major problem ahead of Nottingham Forest clash

Nottingham Forest’s opening day opponents QPR look set to be without two key players when the sides meet at Loftus Road on Saturday.

In-demand wingers Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ryan Manning have so far rejected new contracts with the West London club and may not be involved at the weekend as a result.

The current deals of both players are due to expire next summer.

After months of wrangling, QPR manager and former Forest boss Mark Warburton has indicated he will not select the pair unless they are willing to commit to the club, according to West London Sport.

Osayi-Samuel is reportedly wanted by Club Brugge, Celtic and Crystal Palace, while Manning has been linked with West Ham.

While the situation with Osayi-Samuel looks clear cut, Manning’s situation is less straight forward, with the Irishman said to be in the process of changing agents, who are yet to hold formal talks with QPR.
