QPR forward Eberechi Eze and West Ham midfielder Grady Diangana drafted into England U21 squad

QPR youngster Eberechi Eze and West Ham United’s Grady Diangana have both been called up to the England Under-21 squad for the first time.

The pair received the call on Tuesday morning after being drafted in by manager Aidy Boothroyd as injury replacements for Burnley’s Dwight McNeil and Joe Willock of Arsenal.

Eze has started the season in fine form for QPR, scoring in the Championship club’s wins over Stoke City and Wigan Athletic last month.

The 21-year-old, who has played for England’s U20s, has now been rewarded with a call-up to the U21s and could feature on Friday when the Three Lions begin their European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign against Turkey.

Diangana has also enjoyed a fine start to the season after joining Championship club West Bromwich Albion on loan.

The midfielder has already scored three times, with the latest of those a winner on Saturday in a 3-2 victory against Blackburn Rovers.
