QPR fixtures for Championship 2021/22 season: Full EFL match schedule with dates revealed

QPR are on the up under Mark Warburton as they look ahead to the new Championship season, which will begin with at London derby against Millwall.

The previous campaign saw the R’s record their best league finish since returning to English football’s season tier after Premier League relegation in 2015.

Relegated Fulham will host Warburton’s side for a west London derby at Craven Cottage on October 16, with the reverse game taking place on April 2.

Boxing Day sees Bournemouth visit west London while the season comes to an end with a trip to Swansea City.

The club will be looking to get up and running quick in the new season compared to the last, with an opening day win followed by a seven-game winless run which saw them flirt with relegation until the turn of the year.

Nine wins from their final 14 games of the season saw QPR finish in ninth, buoyed in part by goals from returning loanee Charlie Austin who has since signed a permanent contract.

Warburton has plotted testing preparation for the new campaign by lining up Premier League opposition during pre-season, with both Manchester United and Leicester City coming to town in late July.
