QPR fans will love Bobby Zamora's hilarious recollection of play-off final goal against Derby

Bobby Zamora remains a hero at Queens Park Rangers after scoring one of the most important goals in the club's recent history.

The former West Ham and Tottenham striker netted the only goal of the game in the Championship play-off final in 2014, sealing a place in the Premier League for QPR .

And the 38-year-old has spoken about what he felt when he scored that goal at Wembley, which came in the 90th minute of the game, with QPR down to ten men after Gary O'Neil had been sent off in the second half.

"I enjoyed my time at Loftus Road. It had its ups and downs. It had everything and obviously the icing on the cake was the winning play-off goal," Zamora said, speaking exclusively to  888sport .

"Genuinely, when the ball hit the back of the net and I was running off all I was thinking was ‘thank God I don’t have to play f***ing extra time’. I promise you.

"That is exactly what was going through my head. Because we hadn’t had a shot on target. We were under the cosh and had ten men. It was the most one-sided game I’d ever been a part of. So when I was running away I knew the boys at the back wouldn’t concede with the minutes we had left because they’d done such a fantastic job.
