Les Ferdinand will be honoured with the outstanding contribution award at the London Football Awards.

The former England striker played for QPR, Spurs and West Ham and he is currently director of football at Rangers.

The London Football Awards’ ceremony will take place next March and raises funds for Willow — a charity founded by former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson helping seriously ill young adults.

"Being a Londoner and having played for some of the best clubs in the capital, it is a great honour to receive this award," Ferdinand said.

"I look forward to supporting the London Football Awards 2020 and helping to raise much-needed funds for Willow - providing even more special days for seriously ill young adults."
