QPR defender Angel Rangel's classy Jack Army message after 0-0 draw with Swansea City

Angel Rangel paid a special tribute to the Jack Army for the reception they gave him after he was substituted during Swansea City's 0-0 draw with Queens Park Rangers.

The Spaniard made his first appearance for the Rs since December in the stalemate with his former club at the Liberty Stadium.

After being replaced by Todd Kane with just six minutes left of the game, Rangel left the pitch in-front of the East Stand before making his way around the field to the dugout on the opposite side of the stadium.

The veteran defender was applauded by the Swansea faithful as he made his way around the perimeter of the Liberty pitch.

And Rangel thanked the home fans for the reception he received after being withdrawn.

"Solid performance away from home with a clean sheet and a point that could have been three," he wrote on Twitter.

"Thanks to the travelling fans for their support!

"Also thanks to the Swans fans for the reception I had.

"Respect goes a long way and I appreciate that. All the best for the rest of the season."

Rangel joined Swansea from Terrassa in 2007 and spent more than a decade in South Wales before being released following the club's relegation from the Premier League.

He played a total of 374 times for the Swans and was a key figure in their rise to the top flight while also playing a significant role for them in the top tier.

Rangel netted 10 goals during his Swansea career.
