Qld woman's death treated as suspicious

The bodies of a man and woman were found late on Tuesday, along with an uninjured five-year-old boy. (AAP)

The death of a woman whose body was found in a North Queensland home is being treated as suspicious.

Police found the bodies of a man and a woman - together with their uninjured five-year-old son - after being called to a Townsville property about 9.15am on Tuesday.

Detectives are treating the death of the 45-year-old woman as suspicious, but not that of the 48-year-old man.

Police are working to understand the relationship between the pair, including any history of domestic violence.

A formal identification of the pair and circumstances of their deaths is yet to be completed.
