Queensland has recorded six new cases of COVID-19, including one in Townsville, sparking new restrictions.
From 4pm on Thursday, for the next two weeks, there will be new restrictions for Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Moreton Bay, Logan, Townsville and Palm Island regions.
Four of the six have been linked the cluster centred on an aviation training facility in Queensland's southeast.
One of the new cases is a pilot who flew into Townsville.
From 4pm, visitors to private homes will be capped at 30 people.
Other restrictions that will be reimposed in the listed areas include one person per four square metres in cafes and restaurants.
Weddings and funerals will also be capped at 100 people, and crowds at large venues at 75 per cents.
