A sodden outfield has seen play called off for the second consecutive day in the Sheffield Shield match between Queensland and South Australia at Brisbane's Ian Healy Oval.
Tuesday had already been lost to inclement weather as rainfall lashed Queensland's south-east.
While Wednesday dawned brighter, umpires decided the ground was still in no state to start the fixture.
An earlier (10am AEDT) start has been slated for Thursday.
The game had already been moved to the revamped suburban oval due to concerns over the drainage at Allan Border Field with Brisbane deluged by days of rain.
It came after just 76 overs were possible in last week's match between the Bulls and Victoria due to wet weather.
With just two days left in the Shield clash between Queensland and SA, an outright result would now likely only materialise with some particularly sporting declarations.
Top-placed Queensland had been zeroing on hosting rights for this year's final, the Bulls highly likely to secure the home match with a win against the Redbacks, or over NSW in the final round.
SA are in last place and now seem set to claim a fourth consecutive wooden spoon in the competition.
