Qld physio charged with indecent treatment

Peter John Wells has had his bail extended over charges including indecent treatment of children. (AAP)

A Brisbane physiotherapist who has worked at Olympic level is facing multiple indecent treatment charges allegedly committed against children.

Peter John Wells, 51, did not appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday, when his matter was briefly mentioned and bail was extended.

Wells faces a number of charges allegedly committed between 2002 and 2010, court documents show.

One of the alleged offences occurred at Sleeman Sports Centre in Brisbane's southeast.

The complex is a "centre of excellence for the development of elite athletes in Queensland", it's website states.

Wells faces four charges including multiple counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16.

The matter is due back in court on June 27.
